The Project Manager II is responsible for the management, implementation and/or administration of assigned District projects. This role provides technical review, project management and support, customer support, and contract development for the District’s various agricultural and natural resource funding initiatives, programs and/or projects.
Job Duties Include:
- Serve as Project Manager for program projects.
- Assist in implementing the administration of the District’s Environmental Projects Program.
- Assist cooperators with the development of projects prior to submittal.
- Work with Federal, State and Local governments as well as cooperators.
- Prepare executive memos, contracts and memorandum of Agreements (MOA) for signature.
- Manage contracts, deliverables, timelines, prepare reports, and close contracts and MOAs.
- Manage invoicing, payments, re-imbursements, budgets, and budget analysis.
- Collaborate with permitting staff to ensure permitting compliance as an integral part of the project management responsibilities.
- Participate on various district science, database, and project review teams.
- Compile and draft technical analysis, scientific and white papers documents.
- Perform duties of public speaking and outreach engagements to promote public awareness of District Programs and attend workshops, seminars, and webinars.
- Respond to requests for project reviews.
- Perform environmental field work and program compliance assessments in the field.
- Organize and maintain client files and databases.
- Develop and maintain partnerships and interagency collaborations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
